"I purchased my 2000 Honda CRV from Carmax and was impressed with how well I was treated and the whole process of buying my new vehicle. I bought a CRV because it was rated so well in Consumer Reports, and I wanted Honda's reliability. I landed a new job in Plano, and moved here in November, 2005. I noticed my car started have slight transmission problem of slipping into reverse. It was intermittentand difficult to duplicate consistently until it finally broke down in December. I called someone at your Garland location and explained what happened. To be honest, I thought to myself, since the 30 day warranty had expired, that the repairs would not be covered, but I was totally wrong. Your team towed my vehicle to Carmax, evaluated the problem and through an approval process, agreed to repair the transmission at no charge to me. I WAS AMAZED !!!

I ended up working with Tom and he was great. He loaned me a car while mine was being worked on and I got an update on everything that was happening. Eagle Transmission in Mesquite was great, through a repair agreement between Carmax and Eagle Transmission, after getting my CRV back, I started seeing the same problem again. I determined that the problem could be duplicated if the enginehad been running for more than 20 minutes. It took a few more visits to Eagle but they found that the tranmission casing was causing the slippage effect(possibly a fracture which caused a loss of pressure). They replaced the casing and now my vehicle runs great. This type of transmission malfunction would have been almost impossible to catch during the inspection process. It may have also been a combination of problems which included the case. In any event, the way you and Eagle to care of me was outstanding, ever since the repairs were made to my CRV by Eagle Transmission and especially your technician Tom in Mesquite, in a professional manner, all the problems have been solved and I have never looked back. I tell everyone I know this story and are impressed and have acknowledged that they would take their vehicles to Eagle for transmission service and repair, I can't thank you enough and wanted to let you know."
